September Blog Along with Effy Wild

Today’s prompt is:

1) Start where you are. What’s going on with you? What’s on your heart/mind today, right now, at this moment. No back story necessary. No disclaimers. What’s up, buttercup? Spill it.

A little encouragement.

Excuse the rambling babble……

Where am I at right now?  I am mourning the loss of my kitten.  It hurts like a bitch.  I’ve never dealt with this before on a personal level.  I’ve never lost a pet.  I didn’t have her long, but she had my heart.  I have other cats, but this one…there was just something about her.

I am worried about my friend who just had two surgeries in a week.  She is back home again and hopefully she can being her road to healing without any more hiccups.

I am just trying to find my happy place.  Working on developing a consistent creative practice.  One where I come to the table and do the things I want to be doing without being paralyzed by fear and doubt that I’m doing it wrong or that I suck at it.

I’m tired of summer and so ready for fall weather.  We had a slight break in temps but this week we are looking at a couple of triple digits and several extreme heat 90s days. Not fun y’all!  Especially since we don’t have A/C.  But we do have coolers and fans, and so long as we close up and turn them on before it gets to hot, it isn’t so bad.  Almost have it down to a science really.

Maybe, just maybe, if I can do this blog along I can get back into blogging regularly.  I miss blogging.  I fell away from it a couple of years ago.  I started to feel like my words weren’t important.  Sometimes I felt like I was on repeat, writing about the same shit different day type thing. But maybe they do matter, even if just to me.

Even now, I feel the doubt creeping in.  That gremlin whispering, “you’re not enough”.
