Day 8 – Joy

TODAY’S NUDGE: What do you do to foster joy? What’s your version of ‘flinging glitter in the trenches?”

I had to think about this a little bit.  I don’t really have an answer, I don’t think.  I can tell you that our neighbor’s cows bring me joy.  Especially when the new babes are born.

I used to find lots of joy in our chickens, they would come up and let you pet them and would talk to you.  One day they vanished without a trace and I miss them.  But I remember the joy they brought.

Other times when I need to find joy or those glitter moments, I go outside with my camera to see what I can find.  I look for the random flower (or weed), the butterfly, or a dragonfly.  There’s one that likes to sit on the tomato stake outside my window.  20621211_10213535055081083_1957917170258125319_n

I actually asked it to wait so I could get my camera and it did!  That photo is with my tablet, so not the best.

I find joy in the smell of rain and in the light of full moon.  I find joy in rainbows after a good down pour.

Sometimes, I think I have lost my joy and that my glitter bottle is empty.  But then I look at my photos, or I go outside and look around only to find it’s still there waiting for me when I need it most.

I find joy in animals too – their antics always make me smile. I find their unconditional love the most incredible thing. I hope your glitter bottle is forever replenished!

Animals = Joy! I have a plaque in our family room that says, “Joy comes in the Morning” I see it when I am drinking my morning coffee. Many days I need that reminder. Love your pictures!

Oh I know what to write about now . . . . A friend of mine has a farm and I got to bottle feed one of the lambs. Thanks for the inspiration.

You can’t beat a bit of nature therapy. And I love that Donald the Dragonfly stuck around for his photoshoot. What a power!

LOL but Power works too 😀
There are quite a few that come around a lot. They seem to like to buzz by me or hover near me then dart back and forth. Set down somewhere, rinse, repeat. I always try to great them and thank them for stopping by.
He happens to be a golden one, there’s a red one, blue one, and one other but I haven’t seen the color. Plus a bunch of smaller ones that hang around.
