Happy New Year!

Bright Blessings on this first day of the new year!

I hope and pray that 2021 will be a kinder, gentler, softer year for all of us.
So many of us are grieving, hurting, angry, struggling.
2020 was ROUGH! AF!!
I know there is no magick wand to wave to magically make all the bad stuff
disappear, that will make every thing rainbows, glitter, and unicorns.
But if only for today we can all just take a breath and let ourselves wish and
hope that this year things will be better for us all.

I had planned to write a farewell and fuck off 2020 post last night.
But instead, I opted to go bond with my new heating pad and fiddle on my tablet.
I wanted to do a lot of things yesterday, but they didn’t happen.

I did manage to pull some cards for the year ahead.
This, I think, was the first time things made sense in a card pull.
My birth card is The Hermit.
My card for 2021 is The Tower.
I wasn’t thrilled to see that at all!
So I went to see if I could find any positives about The Tower card.

As luck would have it, I did.
The Tower is all about change.
It’s about abandoning old ways, old truths, old foundations that no longer serve us.
It’s a time to BE POSITIVE.
To find a new set of beliefs.
Key words I found are: Collective, Freedom, Destruction, Falling Apart, Loss of Structure.
Affirmation: “I release my fears and open my soul to trust.”

The Hierophant is the universal card for 2021.
When put together with The Tower it can mean freedom, release, old structures in
your life coming down.
So, I’m not looking at it like OMG DOOM! like I did at first.

I also decided to pull a card from the Goddess Guidance deck to ask who would be my
Goddess for 2021. I pulled Nemetona.
Since I am still very much focusing on the Sacred, this seemed like synchronicity.
She is the Goddess of the Sacred Grove.

I think my word for 2021 will be INTENTION(AL).
To be intentionally creative.
To intentionally seek the Sacred and the Divine.
I am carrying SACRED forward with me for a third year because I don’t feel done with it
yet. It doesn’t feel done with me yet either.

It is my intention to be more creative.
To paint more. To write more. To take more photos.
To learn more. To seek more. To read more.
To practice more self care. To love myself more.

Will I do all these things? Only time will tell.
